Allen P. Thacker passed away on Tuesday night, January 31, 2012. Allen was a good friend to all that knew him and one of the most respected members to ever belong to the VPSA. He has served in most every capacity of this organization and his dedication and hard work were second to none. Allen was reserved and humble and never expected any reward or benefit for all that he did. He lived his life outside of VPSA the same way. I can not personally think of any man that has accomplished more for VPSA and hunting in general. He was always ready to help someone to learn archery or about guns and to teach a young child about hunting. There is so much that I could say about this man but everyone that knew Allen already knows. May God bless him as he finds his reward in the "Happy Hunting Grounds".
